Who Am I?
Hi! I'm Trenika Nicole, a Memphis millennial who believes in the growth and development of the City of Memphis. I graduated from THE University of Memphis with a Bachelors in Business Administration(GO TIGERS!!!) but crave all things Arts. I am in love with my city and I plan to do all I can to support and contribute to it. I'm all about positive vibes, love, support, and all things Memphis!
Now, the reason for this blog is because I often hear people Memphis bash and I hate it!. I've heard people say that there is nothing going on in Memphis, they hate it here, we're the most dangerous city in the U.S., and the list goes on. Being from Memphis I am very aware of our crime issue, poverty, and how Memphis hasn't progressed in the capacity of other similar cities. However, I am also aware of the good things that are happening and how there are areas within the city beginning to thrive or being revived. I personally ALWAYS find stuff to do so, it's confusing and frustrating when people are so negative about the city they are from or currently live in. I also think that Memphis isn't portrayed positively by media outlets so, this blog is to combat all of that.

I believe it is up to the residents to make the necessary improvements, give back to the communities, and require the city to grow. People are too content with the current status but can't see that as an issue. The saying it takes a village to raise a child applies to all aspects of life, we can't turn a blind eye and expect things to change.
So, to assist I plan to inform the world on the EXTRAORDINARY place Memphis is. Whatever we have going on in the city, be it community outreach projects, new companies coming into the city, new opportunities, new restaurants, an amazing Memphis resident, or anything I deem relevant; It all will be located here.
