HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!! Usually I don't post a new blog entry until the end of the month but due to it being Black History Month I had to make an exception. If you are looking for a way to celebrate Black History Month in the city or learn about Black Culture there are still a few events scheduled to honor Black History Month.  Thursday February 18th The Civil Rights Museum is hosting The Book and Author Series: From The Bullet to the Ballot, The Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party and Racial Coalition Politics in Chicago. It is from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and free to the public.

Ticket Prices range from 22.62 – 31.06. Doors will open at 6:30 pm, the event will start at 7:30 pm. There is still discrimination among colors nowadays, but we should be happy that we are slowly standing up for what is right! I believe that Black History Month should new celebrated and Black culture should be known more. I am so happy to see that people are getting curious about this, especially those who are white. There are several activities, and there is nothing that I can ask. I am hoping that Black History Month will be celebrated in any way you guys know. I am sure it is going to be fun. Leave a Reply. |
