So, y'all know how Orpah Winfrey comes out with her list of favorite things every year?? Well this is mine! I'm often asked what are my top 5 things to do or where to go so after thinking on how to present that information I decided on this! Below you'll find six different categories each with a list of things/places to try! I hope you all find something new to get into happy exploring!

Attractions/Adventures

Memphis Botanic Gardens
This beautiful garden is full of activities, programs, and amazing scenery! Check the website to see what's to come!

Old Dominick Distillery 
Memphis Made spirits, tours, tastings, a rooftop bar, and over a century of Memphis history, Old Dominick Distillery will never disappoints and is perfect for group and solo outings.  

Go Ape! Tree Top Adventure
Looking for a little outdoor adventure? Then Go Ape is for you! Whether it's Ziplining,  climbing and swinging from trees, or axe throwing they have it all!

Shelby Farms 
Shelby Farms always has something going on and when they don't it's still worth a visit. It is perfect for a picnic, quiet time, or exercise. Restaurants are also on site so you'll have plenty options to pick from! 

The Pink Palace -MOSH 
Pink Palace has a new name but it is still the same fun! This beautiful mansion is always full of activities for both adults and kids! Activities include the Planetarium, IMAX Theater, and Stargazing on the lawn, which is my favorite. They also allow other organizations to host events so, check out the website to see what's on the calendar. 

Memphis Escape Room 
Last year my department decided to do a group activity virtually since we hadn't seen each other in a long time. To my surprise it was Memphis Escape Room virtually and it was so much fun! So, if you're looking for a good group activity this is a good one! I can't wait to do one on site!

City Tasting Tours
City Tasting tours is an absolute must! If you love food, good drinks, and want to really experience Memphis culture this is your stop. Cristina will have you out in the city like a local touring historic districts, learning random history, and meeting the chefs of some of our best restaurants! To book a private tour email [email protected]

Sprock n Roll Party Bikes Memphis ​
Did this a couple of years ago with friends and let me tell you...it was a GOOD tipsy time! We had a playlist, brought our own beverages, danced, and just enjoyed the ride! You make stops along the way too! ​

​Bars/Lounges

Bar Hustle/Arrive Memphis
I love this place! It's a hotel and bar lounge! The atmosphere is a vibe especially on the weekends! Great service and even better cocktails! Oh, and ask about Longshot, the shuffleboard bar! 
 
The Pyramid/BassPro
Looking for an outdoor rooftop patio bar with a view of the city? Or maybe dinner by taking the worlds tallest freestanding elevator 28 stories up to The Lookout at The Pyramid with a glass observation deck?!

Tailor's Union/The Pocket
This stylish black owned speakeasy is a vibe! They have tasty small bites, good cocktails, and weekly events! Visit there website or follow them on IG to see what they have available for you to get into!

Central Station Hotel
This place is a hotel, has two restaurants with great bars, a patio rooftop, and the coolest contemporary interior! Whether you are staying at the hotel, eating at Bishop or getting pictures and drinks at Eight & Sand they don't miss. Also, they are always hosting events and have a listening room.

Curfew
It's modern, a apart of a trendy hotel, has a nice patio with a cute view and really good craft cocktails! Perfect for a date night, girls night, or just if you need a new place to try! 

Terrace at River Inn
This is one of my favorite places to watch the sunset! Located right on the river front in Harbor Town, Terrace at River Inn offers good food, drinks and an ambience to experience! Go for champagne Thursdays or on a solo date!

Hu Hotel
Hu is back and on a mission! Hu is another one of our many fashionable downtown hotels with tons of personality! You can meet up at Lucy's café for a cup of coffee or head to the rooftop for an event accompanied by cocktails!

The ​Greyhound
No, this isn't the bus station. Instead it is an upscale gin focused specialty cocktail bar!  I love the decor and the cocktails! They also have an outdoor patio and tasty menu items! Located at the start of downtown on Union it's the perfect spot for being downtown but still staying out of the mix.
 

Knifebird Wine Bar
​Whenever I want to have a chill night with good conversation and vibes I take my friends here! It's super cute, sophisticated, and chic which is perfect for pictures! They have a good wine list, offer flights, and are really good at pairing you with beverages that fit your palate! ​

​This next half is pretty self explanatory! Amazing food, desserts, museums, galleries, and the coolest coffee shops/lounges in the city! Go for some upscale southern dinning, a quick bite, get a little culture, grab some Memphis style wings, or tea/coffee while you meet with a friend, it's all below!
